Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, reporting, and auditing.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable aerospace and defense regulations.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external financial audits.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and policies aligned with company objectives and long-term growth.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks to optimize liquidity and profitability.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, procurement, and other departments to align financial and business strategies.
- Provide senior leadership with actionable financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all government contract regulations, particularly within defense and aerospace sectors (e.g., FAR, CAS).
- Oversee implementation and optimization of accounting systems (SAP experience is a plus) to ensure robust financial tracking and reporting.
Qualifications Required:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong background in defense/aerospace manufacturing or related industries.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance within the aerospace and defense sector.
- Proven leadership abilities and team management experience.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
- MBA (Master of Business Administration).
- Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP/accounting systems.
- Experience with government contracting and regulatory compliance (e.g., FAR, CAS).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
